Teacher Rachel
Rachel is the founding director and teacher of Music Together Little Aster.
As early as she can remember, she was singing rounds with her mom, making up songs, and dancing to her parents' records. She began classical piano lessons at seven, and added flute and Irish Dance to her regular activities before middle school. In highschool she participated in community theater, interned at a recording studio and performed at a weekly residency at a local music venue with her band. After college, she became a full-time singer/songwriter, performer, and playwright. She's written two critically acclaimed full-length musicals, several albums, and toured the world.
Her first experience with the Music Together curriculum was in 2013 in San Francisco, where she fell in love with the songs, ethos and method of Music Together. In October 2025 after the birth of her twins, she decided to launch Music Together Little Aster, a brand new center located in the heart of Flatbush, Brooklyn.
